There are many social groups and organizations in the country that promotes environmental sustainability through energy conservation. But among them, many are doing awareness and part time activities and only a few are actually doing full time work at the grass root level as a change agent. We belongs to an organization in Kerala, known as ELECTRIC VEHICLE OWNERS ASSOCIATION, commonly called EVOK, which is working day and night to avoid environmental pollution and promote energy conservation through the popularization of electric cars and solar energy in the state.

EVOK supports the green protocol and environmental conservation of Government of India and Government of Kerala. We represent a group of Electric Car Owners of Kerala, which is registered under the Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955. Main objective of EVOK is to support the initiatives of Government of India and Government of Kerala to popularize electric vehicles with a view to promote energy conservation and to hold back environmental pollution in the State of Kerala. We also work to extend awareness and motivate people to switch over to solar energy. Our members include Doctors, Engineers, Academicians, Businessmen, Government servants etc.

We are functioning in all the 14 districts of Kerala under the control of our District Committees which are supervised by the State Committee. Our State Committee and District Committees, from their real experience in the field has sufficient know how to guide and promote EV vehicle owners. We are also conducting seminars, workshops etc to disseminate awareness to avoid environmental pollution and promote energy conservation.
